Holiday Hacks HQ – Competition Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to all competitions advertised on our website: www.holidayhackshq.com.

Promoter Information

The promoter of all competitions on the site (www.holidayhackshq.com) is Holiday Hacks HQ of Suite 105, Fence House, Fence Avenue, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 1LT, United Kingdom (“Holiday Hacks HQ, we, our, us”).

1. The Competition

We run various competitions on our website from time to time. The details of each competition are described on the applicable competition page of this website.

You can enter competitions starting from the day you subscribe and for up to 30 days afterward. For example, if you subscribe on May 15th, you can join any competitions running from May 15th through June 14th.

2. How to Enter

The competition will run until the time and date as stated on the applicable competition page (the “Closing Date”). All competition entries must be received by us no later than the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

To enter, you may either:

- Online Entry: Create an online account, pay the advertised entry fee, and submit the entry via the competition page by the Closing Date. - Free Entry Route: Send a clearly written postcard entry with: (1) Details of the competition you wish to enter; (2) Your name, address, and email contact details. Send it via first or second-class post to Holiday Hacks HQ at Suite 105, Fence House, Fence Avenue, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 1LT, ensuring it is received by 5 pm the day before the Closing Date.

3. Free Entry Route

You may only enter one competition per postcard entry. Ineligible entries will not be included in the competition. All postal entries must be received by 5 pm the day before the Closing Date. You will receive an email confirmation for your postal entry.

Postal entries are treated equally to paid entries.

5. Selection of Winner

Each competition entry (whether paid or free) will be assigned a name. The winner will be selected using a random name generator at wheelofnames.com, which will be conducted live on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. Members will be notified in advance which platform the live draw will take place on, using either the username from the website or the name provided on the postcard entry.

6. Refund Policy

Paid entries are non-refundable unless we cancel the competition. If cancelled, entry fees will be refunded to every entrant.

Details and the number of prizes are described on the competition page. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value. Prizes are not negotiable or transferable.

10. Prize Substitution

We reserve the right to substitute the prize for a Cash Prize equivalent to the market value if the prize becomes unavailable or due to unforeseen circumstances.

11. Prize Delivery

The prize will be booked or delivered within 90 days of the winner being announced. For holiday prizes, the holiday must be booked within this timeframe, although the winner does not have to travel within the 90-day period.

If the winner wishes to choose a different date for their holiday than the one originally advertised, the new cost of the holiday must not exceed the cost of the original holiday prize. If the new cost exceeds the original value of the holiday, we reserve the right to offer a cash alternative equivalent to the original prize's market value.

If the holiday cannot be booked within 90 days, the winner will receive a cash equivalent to the market value of the prize.

12. Winner Announcement

Our decision is final. Winners will be contacted via email after the Closing Date using the email address provided. The surname and county of major prize winners will be published on the website within 24 hours of the Closing Date, to comply with legal obligations. You may request to opt out of this publication.

13. Claiming the Prize

Please allow up to 90 days for the prize to be booked or delivered. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, the prize may be offered to the next eligible entrant.

14. Limitation of Liability

Once the prize has been handed over to the winner, Holiday Hacks HQ, our agents, or distributors will not be responsible for any loss, damage, personal injury, death, or any other issues related to the prize. We will not be liable for any claims arising from the acceptance or use of the prize unless required by law.

15. Ownership of Competition Entries

All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted will become our property on receipt and will not be returned. By submitting your competition entry, you agree to assign to us all your intellectual property rights.

We will only process your personal information as set out in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
If a competition is in partnership with a third party, you consent to your email being shared with the third party. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.

17. General

If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, we may exclude you from the competition. We reserve the right to vary, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition, and any entrant agrees that we shall have no liability as a result.

We reserve the right to extend the competition closing date or cancel the competition if the minimum number of entries, equal to the value of the advertised prize in British Pounds (£), is not met. The minimum number of entries required is calculated by dividing the value of the prize by the cost per entry. For example:

- Example: If the prize is valued at £1,000 and the cost per entry is £10, the minimum number of entries required is 100 (£1,000 ÷ £10).

In the event of a cancellation due to insufficient entries, we will refund all paid entry fees.

The draw will be carried out using wheelofnames.com, streamed live on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. The prize will only be awarded if the minimum number of entries is met. If the minimum number is not met, and the competition is extended, all existing entries will remain valid for the new closing date.

We do not own the prizes at the time of the draw; the prize will be purchased once a winner is selected.

18. Compliance with the Gambling Act

This competition does not fall under the Gambling Act 2005 as it offers a free entry route, which provides an equal opportunity to all participants, whether they enter via the free entry method or the paid method.
